In the Crimea
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and educated in Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan. Much of my later life has been spent on scenic Vancouver island or on the road. In 1992, my house outside Victoria was slated for expropriation and became part of the Millstream exchange. I jumped on a plane and travel has since defined my life. I have visited 135 countries and every continent except Antarctica.
Himalayan trekking
High altitude trekking is a favourite pastime. Extended treks in north India, Nepal, Tibet and both Yunnan and Sechuan provinces in China have been excellent experiences. In 1995. I was lucky enough to arrange a truck trip through Tibet to Mount Kilash for the holy day of Saga Dawa. Afterwards a few of us managed to trek higher than 6.000 meters on Mount Everest from the north face. I explored the Andes on the Inca trail and the Cordillera Blanca. The exhilaration of thin air and amazing scenery drives me higher.
